How big is my booth space?
Winter and Spring. Bayside Grange/Indoors. There are 31 spaces that are 8 feet long by 5 feet deep. There are 3 spaces that are 10 feet long by 3 feet deep (2 in the back room and one in the hallway). No canopies please, but feel free to partition the space any way you want.
Summer. Arcata Plaza/Outdoors. All spaces are 10 x 10. Canopy required.
How are the booth placements determined? Can I make special requests?
Our number one criteria for determining acceptance and booth placements is meeting the application deadline. Depending on the volume of applications, late applicants will either receive a booth in the back room or be placed on a waiting list for the back room (winter and spring shows).
Special requests of the following nature can be made and we will honor them as best we can.
Requests to be in the back room.
If you do not like the loud noise of the music, please request the back/kitchen room. Traffic is just as good, and it is virtually sound proof from the front room.
Requests for a 10 x 3 booth space.
You can request a long booth space if that works better for you. One is in the hallway, bridging the gap from the front to the back (a memorable place to be!), and the other 2 have a very usable tall counter behind them. If no one requests these spots, they will be offered to people on the waiting list after all traditional 8 x 5 spaces have been filled.
Requests for electricity.
Electricity is available for the winter and spring fairs, but unfortunately not for the summer plaza event. If you need electricity for the winter or spring, please send in a request. You will receive a booth against either wall in the front room or along the wall in the back. Please bring all necessary equipment; extension cords, power strips, etc.
Requests to be next to a friend.
We will do our best.
Can I bring both handmade and vintage items, or do I have to choose one or the other?
Booths can be filled with either handmade or vintage, or both. It is up to you. We do require that vintage items are of high quality and style, just like the criteria for handmade items.
Should I bring my own chair?
No! for the winter and spring. Yes! for the summer. However, the chairs for the winter and spring or just metal fold-ups. If you need or desire a more comfortable chair, please bring one.
